Hoffman, Mary (4 SEP 1929)

Miss Mary Hoffman, second oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hoffman, Sr., of the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), and Emil Stasek, town of Holway (Marathon Co.), were married Wednesday morning at Church, Rev. Paul Pitzenberger officiating. It was a scene not soon forgotten, the bride beautifully attired in white, surrounded by her bridesmaids in pastel colored gowns. The maids, three in number, Matilda and Helen Stasek, sisters of the groom, and Irene Bauernfiend, and the groomsmen were Joseph Hiebsch, Joseph Bauernfiend and Arthur Ramminger, and Adelia Hoffman acted as flower girl.

After the ceremony they gathered at the bride’s home and enjoyed the wedding breakfast. The bridal party then autoed to Stanley for their wedding pictures. In the evening they gave a wedding dance to their host of friends at Midway.

Mary needs no introduction to our readers as a major portion of her life has been spent here and we are sure everyone will agree with us when we say Emil is to be congratulated on getting such a prize for a life partner. Emil is not so well known here but we’ve been told he’s a hustler and we can well believe it. He is a cheesemaker in the factory 8 miles straight west of the Laabs factory and had the home all equipped and ready for it’s mistress which speaks very well indeed for him. The many friends join us in offering them just heaps of good luck in the years to come.

The guests there beside the family and bridal party were George Hoffman, Lake Providence, La., brother of the bride, Jas. Fisher and son, Louis, uncle and cousin of the bride, of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bauernfiend, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Laack and family, grandpa Fred Laack and Mr. and Mrs. Max Hoffman, Jr., and family.
